How Do I Meet People?
Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Children & Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids..

Small Group
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.

Fellowship Lunch
We regularly hold potluck covered dish lunches following the morning service (see events calendar) and this is an awesome time to get to know one another while enjoying some fantastic cooking. Many Sundays several of our folks will get together for lunch at a local restaurant and there’s always an open seat at the table.
Special Events
We hold special events and outings at various times throughout the year. Our folks have enjoyed hearing special guest pastors as well as many concerts featuring local and national musicians. Game nights, traveling to see the Christmas lights, movies at local theaters, picnics and hikes are just a few of the fun events to get to know people.
Foster Parents’ Day Out
Two years ago Unifour and Pastor Calvin had a vision to give Foster Parents a much needed break and respite. Working closely with Catawba DSS he developed “Foster Parents’ Day Out” where once a month children experiencing foster care can gather to enjoy some games, crafts and activities while giving their Foster Parents a few hours to themselves.
Sunday Lunch
Some of our members fellowship together by going to lunch on Sundays after the service. This is a great time to get to know our Pastor and some of our folks in a fun, relaxed way and enjoy a great meal at a local restaurant.
Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as setting up tables, to preparing the church bulletins.

Use Your Gifts
You are talented and God wants you sharing your gifts. If you have a program or event you want to lead. please chat with a Council Member or Pastoral Team and see how we can help you fulfill your purpose: Karen, Marie, Mel, Tammy, Rev Ryan, Rev Linda, Nora or Pastor Calvin.

Unifour is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around our community and the world. We are active in outreach programs especially for children experiencing Foster Care and with local Seniors while actively supporting others in outreach with our money and with our prayers.

Greeters & Ushers
The greeters & ushers at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. You’ll always be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The greeters & ushers are a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Music God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Media & Technology Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. Our weekly sermons will soon be uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
C.A.R.E. Team Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service people are praying for the ministry of the Word and available to pray with you. Throughout the week, pray for our pastor, a list of church members, and any special requests.
Grounds & Building Care
We have dedicated and committed members who keep the grounds and building looking great. Throughout the week, volunteers maintain the landscape plants, restock pens & supplies, vacuum, mow the grass, and work to keep Unifour looking great as an act of service and worship.
